What DAZN Bet brings to Alberta
DAZN Bet is the betting and casino arm of DAZN, a global sports streaming service that holds rights to major sports properties in Canada including the NFL, MLB Network, and the English Premier League. The brand has regulatory approval in both Ontario and Alberta, positioning it as one of the few operators licensed in both Canadian regulated markets before going live in either.
DAZN hired former Sports Interaction and TonyBet executive Richard Rawlinson as its first Country Manager for Canada in 2026, signalling a serious commitment to the Canadian market. DAZN's existing sports streaming audience in Canada gives the betting product a built-in base of sports fans who already engage with the app daily.
Note that as of June 2026, DAZN Bet had not yet confirmed a specific go-live date for either Ontario or Alberta. AGLC registration does not automatically mean a day-one launch — operators must also complete technical certification. Jolly First will update this page as launch details are confirmed.
